Ladies’ course record smashed by young starlet
A 14-year course record at St Annes Old Links golf club was finally broken this week.
Gemma Batty fired a brilliant round of 70 to smash the ladies’ course record at the Fylde club.
Batty, who recently graduated from Myerscough College with a diploma in golf studies, won the prestigious Kathleen Proctor Trophy and Ladies Summer meeting with a brilliant two under par gross score.
The young golfer is one to watch after graduating the ASSA program is a speciﬁcally designed program to give extra support to talented young golfers who posess a realistic chance of making a career from the sport.
