It means kids can ‘treat’ (or claim they have) by booking a wristband for dad the same time they book their own. Which, of course, is where mum comes into the equation as the wristbands must be purchased online using the code DAD15 - and if that 15 relates to the year, oops.

The deal applies to gate priced wristbands so that’s a £30 saving for dad.

They can even turn it into the ultimate dad’s day out (even if he disagrees) by crafting a joyous trail of fatherly thrills across the park - testing his nerves on Red Arrows Skyforce, The Big One and then brave the classic looping coaster Revolution.

There’s always the Alice ride or the River Caves if he’s looking green round the gills - and the Ghost train if he gives up the ghost.

Top kids’ choice is the six acre Nickelodeon Land, home to 12 rides and attractions, including the gentler delights of SpongeBob SquarePants, PAW Patrol, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - he may well have loved them first time round - or Wallace and Gromit’s Thrill-O-Matic.
