The 70s glam rocker’s influence endures to this day. From 1970 to 1976 he had written 15 Top 20 hits, and between 1968 and 1974 had notched up nine Top 20 albums.

Even 40 years on - and almost four decades since his death at 29 in 1977 - hits such as Ride A White Swan, Metal Guru, Jeepster, Get It On, Hot Love, Children of the Revolution have the power to bridge the generation gap with what Bolan styled Cosmic Rock.

The band is endorsed and approved by Bolan’s family estate, original ex-members of T-Rex and Bolan’s catalogue management T.Rextasy have been gigging around the world for more than two decades.

As the curator of Bolan’s legacy lead singer and lead guitarist Danielz owns up to being a fan since the 70s.

He says: “Marc was self-made. He wrote his own songs, styled himself, and was a live in-concert musician with intelligence, who could talk anyone under the table when confronted with rock’n’roll histrionics. Although he instigated the glam rock scene, a good year before the likes of his good friend Bowie, or Slade or Sweet, he always kept his Mod roots, so was able to glam-up with finesse and panache without looking ridiculous.

“Every gig I play feels like the first gig I will ever do, such is the enjoyment I get out of playing Marc’s music in a live environment….”
