The Deerhart exhibition is shortlisted for Best Wildcard award at the Saboteur Indie literature awards. The result is down to public vote, by Tuesday, with results announced on May 27.

Deerhart is a creative partnership between acclaimed Preston ecopoet Yvonne Reddick and Blackpool based multimedia artist and curator Diana Zwibach who use art and poetry to take viewers on a journey into wild nature and our own nature.

The exhibition toured Cambridge and Preston.

Yvonne explains: “Diana and I are thrilled to be representing culture from places that are seen as more marginal; it’s a real privilege to be recognised for creating art and literature that tackles these issues.” One of Yvonne’s poems was displayed at last year’s Illuminations. Diana is a sought-after contemporary artist with pieces in private collections of actress Shirley MacLaine and musicians Pinchas Zukerman and Micha Maisky. “We’re delighted to have made the shortlist - but need those votes,” says Diana.
