Mark Watson

As one of the most decorated performers on the UK comedy scene, he was nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2005 Perrier Awards, before being awarded the 2006 if.comedy Panel Prize. He took home the Time Out Critics Choice Award in 2006 and has been nominated for a Barry Award from the Melbourne Comedy Festival.

He has also starred in numerous TV shows including Dave’s Road to Rio, BBC’s We Need Answers, Live At The Apollo, Mock The Week and Have I Got News For You, turns a seemingly minor problem at an airport into a spiralling examination of identity in the digital age and search for meaning in our lives.

Watson’s own cult Radio 4 series Mark Watson Makes The World Substantially Better and Mark Watson Talks A Bit About Life along with his customary chaotic audience interaction makes him a top-line comic – but one suitable for audiences aged 14+!

On top of being a nationally recognised funny person Mark has written a number of novels; Hotel Alpha, Bullet Points, A Light-hearted Look At Murder, Eleven and The Knot.
