Legendary stand-up comedy nights return
They've gone down a storm over the last few years, and now Jongleurs comedy nights are to return to Fleetwood's Marine Hall with some of the country's best stand-up comedians are gracing the stage.
The comedy showcases will take place on July 1 and October 14.
In July is the hilarious Alfie Moore will be joined by Steve Shanyaski, Allyson Smith and MC Caimh McDonnell.
Alfie Moore, an original and distinctive comedian with the unique selling point of once being a serving police officer came to comedy later in life than most established stand-ups.
He shares a wealth of insights and funny moments from his 18 years on the beat, where a keen sense of humour has been the key to his success and survival.
Born and raised on a council estate in Sheffield he was an apprentice in the steelworks before joining the police where he has served for nearly two decades, gathering plenty of hilarious stories.
A regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Alfie debuted his new stand-up show The Naked Stun in 2014 where it was a sell-out for the full festival run. He has also supported Sarah Millican, Russell Kane and Milton Jones on their national comedy tours.
Steve Shanyaski’s whirlwind performances and thrilling routines have constantly proven a hit.
Steve has performed his comedy throughout the world, to an audience as diverse as bikers in a field, to royalty in a theatre, and never ceases to go down a storm.
Alfie and Steve will be joined by Allyson Smith. The former school teacher has worked her way across Canada and is now taking her craft to the UK.
Using her sassy blend of in-your-face stand-up and hilariously insightful commentary, she is fast becoming a fan favourite at comedy clubs across the country.
The evening will be compered by Caimh McDonnell.
As well as comedy, Caimh is in great demand as a writer for TV. He has recently worked on the hit BBC2 show The Sarah Millican Television Programme. He also works as a children’s TV writer and was BAFTA nominated for the CBBC animated series ‘Pet Squad’ which he created.
