She’s also playing The Muni, Colne, in October. And that’s not forgetting a preview of new material at Glastonbury to come.

This is the acoustic show and all those great hit singles It’s a Mystery, Thunder in the Mountains, I Wanna Be Free, Sensational, are given the treatment and then some, from a career spanning 35 years and 13 top 40 numbers and 20 albums. Toyah is joined by Chris Wong and Colin Hinds and adds anecdotes and images to the musical mix. Toyah says the arrangements give the music ‘space to breathe’.

Having already worked with Katharine Hepburn and Laurence Olivier, it’s just been announced that Toyah will star in the sequel to Quadrophenia alongside Phil Daniels, Trevor Laird and Mark Wingett who featured in the original.

Toyah is filming other movies over the summer.
