Two tribute shows. In fact, tribute acts agogo add up to a cracking eggstravaganza in Blackpool this Easter weekend.

Take Central Pier, for starters. Three shows feature the music of Elvis, Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson.

Kings & Queen of Rock, Pop & Roll, a tribute to three amazing entertainers, will run for three pre-season performances at Central Pier Showbar from tomorrow, Good Friday, to Sunday, doors open 6pm.

The cast include Clayton Mark (Elvis), Kevin King (Freddie Mercury) and Craig Harrison (Michael Jackson) on a musical journey of the life, times and music of three of the greatest performers the world has ever known.

Clayton fell for the music of the King at just 10. After moving from New York to Los Angeles he began a recording career, and started cultivating the voice and mannerisms of Elvis. He so impressed music and movie producers he was signed up to appear as Elvis in two movies. During the 90s, Clayton (pictured) moved to England and became a regular on UK television.

He remains well known to Blackpool audiences having performed as Elvis for 12 consecutive seasons on Central Pier before joining the cast of Kings & Queen of Rock, Pop & Roll.

Meantime, on the other side of the tram tracks, the award winning (Trevor Chance’s) Legends has been a consistent crowd pleaser since those early days.

It’s now in season 18, and holds court at the stylish Sands venue on Central Promenade.

The format has been consistently reinvented and reinvested to bring regulars back for more - and tempt newcomers.

Popular Blackpool based performer Gaz Jenkins is bringing a new look to the resort’s long running tribute show and is fronting a sneak preview of what’s in store this summer with a three-night Easter special from Good Friday to Easter Sunday.

The well-known all-rounder has replaced Tom Bright as host and compere, and says it is like a dream come true.

“I’ve always been a massive fan of Legends,” says Gaz. “I knew from the first time I saw the show that I wanted to be a part it but I never expected to be joining as the compere.

“Coming from a singing background I’m hoping to bring a fresh twist to the role. I’m incredibly excited about it all and can’t wait to get started. It really is a fantastic opportunity for me.”

Gaz will be introducing Easter tributes to Elton John, Lady Gaga, Tina Turner and Robbie Williams.

As well as the traditional stadium rockers the team has been on a quest for the best ‘Bowie’. The summer show – which begins on June 8 - adds in David Bowie, Gary Barlow, Neil Diamond, Buddy Holly and Freddie Mercury to the mix.
