The comedy duo were invited to perform at the Yorkshire Flood Aid Concert on Sunday at the Victoria Theatre, Halifax, to support the Community Foundation For Calderdale.

As part of the concert, the duo agreed to put their theme song, Together We’ll Be OK, on iTunes to support the fundraising cause.

St Annes resident Bobby said: “The concert went really well, raising about £50,000 on the night, I think, which is marvellous, an unbelievable amount.

“The lyrics of the song ‘Laugh me a laugh, grin me a grin, Together We’ll Be OK’ are so appropriate for when you’re going through a difficult time.

“And that’s what us Brits do in a crisis isn’t it?

“We got involved when one of the organisers called my wife to ask if we were available, and we got some of our friends along too, like Stu Francis and Johnnie Casson.

“It would be great to do them all over the country to raise a lot of money for people hit by the floods.”

As well as musical and variety acts, the concert was also attended by Emmerdale actors Dominic Brunt, Michelle Hardwick and Chris Chittell.

Communities across the district of Calderdale were hit by flooding after torrential rain on Boxing Day.
